    Who is Maura?​

​

I am a blessed woman!  I have a wonderful husband and four beautiful children.  I am a faith-filled outdoor enthusiast that loves helping others get stronger and healthier.  I believe that we were given our bodies as a gift and it is our privilege to take care of them, push them and love them no matter the size.  

I love spin classes, cheesecake, naps, jokes and fun eyeglasses.

I could list off all of the certifications that I have, but that isn't what you will remember when you meet me.  You will know immediately that I different than your typical personal trainer. To start, I am now in my 50’s and have had life experiences that have helped me tremendously when working with clients. My age is my advantage, sparking me to modify routines and consider concerns like inflammation, muscle strain and recovery. I am a better trainer today then I was when I was in my 20’s. (yes, I have been doing this a long time) I will help you love your body again.

My Story

Background

I grew up in Minnesota’s Twin Cities area, where I earned degrees in Psychology, Kinesiology and Dietetics. Although I was always fascinated with the health field, I fell in love with it in college when I went through treatment for an eating disorder.  Ever since then, I have not stopped learning about nutrition and exercise.

I became a personal trainer in the mid 1990's at the YWCA of St. Paul.

After helping hundreds of clients over the years, my love is stronger than ever.  I am always learning new skills and techniques to help young athletes to older people with mobility and balance issues. Each person brings new and exciting challenges that we get to work on together.

 

I specialize in creating personalized fitness and nutrition plans that cater to my clients' individual needs. My ultimate goal is to empower my clients to achieve their desired level of fitness, health, and overall well-being. With a variety of certifications under my belt, I offer a diverse range of fitness programs that deliver results. Whether you're looking to increase your strength, lose weight, improve your cardio endurance, or just lead a more active lifestyle, I'm here to help you every step of the way.
